When should you delete your account?
Delete your WorkDest profile if you no longer recruit, freelance, or job search on the platform, or if you want all hiring data removed from our systems. Account deletion is irreversible, so consider temporarily pausing profile visibility instead if you plan to return.
Mobile app instructions
- Open the WorkDest app, tap your avatar, and choose Settings.
- Select Privacy & Security followed by Delete account.
- Read the summary of data that will be removed, then tap Continue.
- Confirm using Face ID / Touch ID or your password plus MFA code.
- You'll receive an email confirmation once deletion finishes (typically within 7 days).
Web app instructions
- Sign in at app.workdest.com and open the menu under your initials.
- Click Account & billing → Privacy Center.
- Choose Permanently delete account and review outstanding invoices or open offers.
- Complete the short questionnaire so we can improve the product.
- Approve the request via the confirmation link sent to your inbox.
What we delete
- Profile data, resumes, cover letters, and uploaded documents.
- Job applications, outreach history, interviews, and feedback.
- Freelance proposals, invoices, payouts, and client notes.
- Saved roles, alerts, and recommendation preferences.
- Messages, attachments, and timeline events.
What we may retain
We keep limited records required for fraud prevention, accounting, or legal obligations (for example, invoices issued in the last 7 years). Those records are segregated from active systems and automatically purged when the retention period expires.
